Dark black, heavy weight, hand woven Indian cotton vintage skirt - fitted waist band has a metal zipper, hooks and snap closure with an abstract embroidery of squares and diamond shapes in ecru & red. Gathered 1950s to 60s skirt has a border of ecru embroidery along the hemline. Rows of abstract birds in flight, like the little Vs you would draw as a child and beautiful cranes with their heads bent down watching for a fish. Quality piece with lovely detail. Probably brought back as a souvenir from a traveler during a midcentury visit to Central America and we can see why. FABRIC: cotton - LABEL: Ceve - Hand woven Indian cotton - made in Guatemala, C.A. - FITS LIKE: Small - CONDITION: Excellent condition. NO fading or spots.
