These hand-beaded Fair Trade bangles are both fun and funky. The bangles come in a variety of colors and each one is unique. You can buy just one or layer several for a bold look. The design is interpreted from traditional Ndebele designs, a prominent South African tribe.
Made by the KwaXolo Beaders, a group of 18 women, most of whom are the primary bread winners for their family. They are located in the rural village of KwaXolo, in Zululand, South Africa. The KwaXolo Beaders work in partnership with Khumbulani Crafts, a non-profit organization, whose mission is to contribute towards poverty alleviation in rural communities through the production, marketing and sale of traditional and contemporary craft.
