The collection intertwines high-end apparel techniques with contemporary street casual fabrics and fits, delivering influential '90s styles like the classic acid washed denim and the multi-faceted varsity jackets. The most appealing aspect of this collection is that it was created to be accessibly worn on or off the runway, producing a smart balance between both the men and women's line. Back To The Classics: Our Top Five Designer Handbags

    image

It seems that after many seasons of excess and "it" bags, the fashion industry has come back to reality. It might be the sobering effects of the economic downturn that's making us look towards the classics. Then again, most of us could never actually afford a new designer bag each season to begin with. So instead of using your tax return on a few trendy items that will make you wonder why the heck you bought them come the next season, put your money into something that will last. Classic handbags never go out of season and look good with nearly every outfit. Yes, they may cost quite a lot of money, but these top designer bags are impeccably made and will last you nearly a lifetime. Don't believe me? I have an old Chanel purse from my grandmother to prove it. The Chanel 2.55 bag is the traditional flap bag. It was first introduced in February 1955 by the ever-practical Coco Chanel, who wanted a hands-free bag with a shoulder strap. The 2.55 comes in one size only, but it's the perfect size, small enough for evening, yet big enough to also use during the day. With its classic shape and iconic status, the Hermes Birkin bag is the holy grail of handbags. The wait list may have died down since its feature on "Sex and the City", but if you don't want to wait or pay full price, eBay and Portero.com are great places to look for them second-hand. No one can argue that the Louis Vuitton Speedy is a classic-- it has been Louis Vuitton's best selling bag since Audrey Hepburn made it popular. Get it in the black or colored Epi leather to avoid getting sick of the logo. Some newer additions to the classic bag line up are the Yves Saint Laurent Muse bag and the Bottega Veneta Intrecciato bags. The Muse was introduced in 2006 and has been a bestseller ever since. The Intrecciato bag from Bottega, otherwise known as the woven bag, is buttery soft, beautifully made, and has become an instant classic, with has a slightly lower price tag than some of the other investment bags. Influential International Style: Emma Watson

Knowing full-well that she could take advantage of an Invisibility Cloak at any given moment, Emma Watson's status as a rising international style icon is even more impressive. The Harry Potter star is all grown up, and as the new face of the House of Chanel, is rumored to also be replacing Keira Knightley as the face of Burberry. How does a wizard rise to a style queen seemingly overnight? By choosing classic shapes, flattering neutrals, and always looking age appropriate. Whether it's a risk of length or a gorgeous backless gown, there is always a little something extra to Emma Watson's red carpet looks. Also catapulting her into success? Refusing to follow makeup trends and instead choosing flattering shimmers, and backing it all up with a classic updo or soft waves for a hairstyle. Look Fashionably Fierce In A Bengal Stripe Shirt

    image

A Bengal stripe button shirt is a fancy way of saying a "striped shirt." Well €“ not really. A Bengal striped shirt is simple, with evenly spaced stripes and it's sartorially symmetric and dignified. It has remained a classic piece in a gentleman's wardrobe. Some come in classic primary colors, but we are seeing a lot of them in softer shades like pink and purple. The style has even been tinkered with and designers like tie is always a good thing, but you can always do away with the neckwear and go the casual route. For a little more dapper flair, choose a contrasting collar. Whatever you choose, you can never go wrong with a Bengal stripe because we all know that stripes are slimming. Check out these shirts to quench your striped thirst.

Shop For Cute Basics By Celeb Favorite Rebel Yell At ...

Tired of trying to look effortlessly cute all the time? Well I am. One of my favorite brands, Rebel Yell, has come to the rescue, making my wardrobe playful, comfortable and all things vintage. Getting ready for the much-anticipated spring season, the Rebel Yell collection, which is now at Karmaloop.com, remedies all of my fashion problems. The collection offers the basics: T-shirts, button-downs, raglans, hoodies and other clothes that are meticulously structured for optimal comfort and style. Conceived in February 2005 by Daniel and Andi Ballard, the label is heavily inspired by nostalgic childhood memories growing up in Virginia. Andi, the brand€™s designer, explains, €œit€™s a name inspired by the rowdy all-American lifestyle we grew up in. I want Rebel Yell to be super-fresh and easy to wear. The kind of clothing that doesn€™t overpower you, but still makes you look damn good. I obsess about the fit and design details, and refuse to put out a product that Daniel and I wouldn€™t want to wear." The brand reflects the styles that the creators grew up with: relaxed, fresh and classic. Rebel Yell€™s future is looking very promising, as it continues to attract both men and women everywhere, as well as celebrities like Reese Witherspoon, Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton, and many others. Keep your style at ease with my top three picks: the three quarter sleeve colorblock tuni hoody, the yes, no tee and the skinny pant.
