Couturious founded in November 2005 by CSM artist Debra Franses Bean.
When a house fire left her without a home she turned the charred remains into an art exhibition. The centrepiece of the installation was a blackened chandelier the shadows falling on the wall became the inspiration for her chandelier shadow design. Her creative style is a psychological twist on everyday icons mixed with a notion of the unusual. The eclectic results are fashioned into wallpapers, fabrics, window coverings and cushions.
