Being Part Of A Chain Gang Never Looked So Good!

In the recent fall and winter seasons, rocker-chic and rock inspired aesthetics gained popularity with leather accents, zippers and, most importantly, chain detailing. Nothing says "don't mess with me" like a few well placed chains or chain accessories to give you a tough biker chick appeal. This edgy style is definitely fun and fashionable to wear, but what happens if you just aren't the rocker type and still want to participate in this fad? Not a problem. Chain accessories have gotten a softer make-over with thick, chunky chains now being intertwined with thinner, more elegant strands, as well as other more feminine media like crystals and pearls. Now, instead of looking cool but also like you might punch out someone's teeth, chain accessories are more versatile and lady-like and can be worn from day to night and don't require a leather jacket and steel-toed boots to complete the look. Finally, more girly girls can now jump on this accessories band-wagon and become part of the 'chain gang' without feeling like they're donning a costume or adopting a look that just isn't them. Video Style Steal: Shakira's "Give It Up To Me"

I'm not embarrassed to admit that I still request "She Wolf" every time I hit the dance floor (what can I say? It's the perfect girls-night anthem!), but Shakira is movin' on full-steam ahead. Her latest video for the single "Give It Up To Me" is a little more collaborative (hey Lil Wayne!) and a little less... well, naked (did you see that cut-up catsuit she wore last time?). While we can go ahead and skip that whole multi-armed Statue of Liberty-inspired ensemble, her other two video outfits can easily be translated from her scantily-clad step team to real-world streetwear. After all, everyone can appreciate a good pair of flat leather boots and a cute military cap to save you from bad hair days (not like Shakira herself ever experiences any of those!). Click "See Video" to watch, then check the slideshow to see how you can tame the She-Wolf's video vixen outfits and rock them yourself! Photo Credit: MTV.com
