There are so many ways to rock cardigans this fall and this easy DIY project lets you pick your palette and be the designer. Layer this number under a blazer or choose to belt it up. You'll be sure to have the last laugh after you do it yourself.
What you'll need:

Thread
Step 1 - Cut both of your cardigans down the center of the back.
Step 2 - Button the front of your jacket with two different colored jackets..
Step 3 - Turn your cardigan inside out, thread your needle and sew up the back.
Step 4 - Turn your cardigan right side out and rock it all semester long!

Yup. It's cold outside. And while big down jackets and wool coats are a great way to stay warm, donning layers is the way to keep insulated. Loose layers are a chic way to stay cozy and comfortable and is a great way to look nonchalantly stylish.
Plus, freezing winds outside means war toasty heat indoors. Layers are a great way to customize just how warm you want to be. Try long infinity scarves or thigh grazing cardigans and sweaters, or look for loosely draped long sleeved tops and tunics. Bright colors are a good way to break up the look and give your ensemble a distinct direction, saving you from looking like you rolled haphazardly in a pile of knitwear.
Wear these layering pieces over jeans or leggings and under an oversized anorak for a laid-back vibe, or try a cute tweed skirt and OTK boots under a wool coat for a classic winter look. Click on the slideshow to see some favorite ways to get the loose, layered look for yourself!
