The piano's serial number (290337) enabled Steinway & Sons, USA, to identify the piano for us as being a rare 'Model S Chippendale', completed on March 21st, 1938, in their Hamburg, Germany workshop.
This piece was specially commissioned by Moss for the opening exhibition of its new gallery in Los Angeles. (June 2007)
