High quality firmly woven dressy aubergine rayon has two layers of stamped designs in gold and bronze metallic paints. Oringinal stamps were carved by the artist. Metallic machine embroidery, richly hand beaded with an assortment of glass beads. Zipper closure has a coordinating beaded pull made by the artist. Fully lined; shoulder strap.   The Tree Goddess is a divine spirit of the Maui forests and home to many birds. She has eight arms, a body of tree bark, tree roots, and plater face and hands. Other materials include skeleton leaves, pine cones, wire, plaster, fabric, feather, polymer clay, acrylic paint, shredded wood and beads. A wire on the back for wall hanging. This piece won "Best of Show" at the Lahaina Art Society exhibition in the spring of 2005.
