Even if you've already gotten a head-start on counting down to Spring Break, it is only the first week of March, and your dreams of a summer tan are still officially a little premature. While you can easily resort to self-tanners and bronzers to achieve the deepened skintone that the sun can't give you yet (it's the safer way to go, anyway), it's still a little early for the full-on sun-kissed look. As an alternative, face luminizers are the ideal product for transitioning from winter-dry to spring-fresh skin, and are perfect for the color-shy girls who haven't yet mastered the feat of making bronzer look totally natural. Instead of deepening color, luminizers work with your own skintone to add subtle shimmer or light-reflecting radiance to emphasize cheekbones and give you that pretty spring dewiness in a way that doesn't appear oily or shiny. They still give you the contour and glowing appearance of bronzer without the fear of piled-on color. Plus, since they're mostly sheer, application doesn't have to be perfect -- in fact, many are designed to be rubbed in with your fingers for a more natural look. Take a look at the slideshow for a selection of products that'll help you achieve the perfect springtime glow!
Be Fresh-Faced In Any Weather With These Rain-Proof Beauty Picks!

Personally, I wouldn't go so far as to say that I hate the rain (after all, my plants need nourishment somehow). I'm cool with it as long as it doesn't get in my way, like that time it postponed my 9th birthday party picnic or those few hundred times it drenched my freshly flat-ironed hair. However, life usually requires that I go about my day rain or shine, and despite my wishes, it doesn't conveniently drizzle only when I'm already cozy in bed watching TiVo'd episodes of Tough Love. So what else can a girl do other than be prepared? Unless you're caught in a freak-of-nature sudden downpour, there's no reason you have to show up at work, class, or a date (heaven forbid!) looking like a bizarre mix of a wet rat and a watercolor gone wrong. With the slew of water-resistant beauty products and frizz-fighting hair care on the market these days, you can face off with any weather and still show up looking first-rate... as long as you don't actually end up swimming in the puddles. Check the slideshow to see how you can rain-proof your mane, mascara, and even bronzer!
