Some people (namely men) don't understand the appeal of handbags. Allow me to simplify. I like things that are pretty. I also happen to be one of those people who carries things on a regular basis. Those pockets on my jeans/cardigan/skirt are totally not utilitarian. Thus, the handbag. Of course, when said handbag happens to be free, it's an entirely different story.
