Shop For Cute Basics By Celeb Favorite Rebel Yell At ...

Tired of trying to look effortlessly cute all the time? Well I am. One of my favorite brands, Rebel Yell, has come to the rescue, making my wardrobe playful, comfortable and all things vintage. Getting ready for the much-anticipated spring season, the Rebel Yell collection, which is now at Karmaloop.com, remedies all of my fashion problems. The collection offers the basics: T-shirts, button-downs, raglans, hoodies and other clothes that are meticulously structured for optimal comfort and style. Conceived in February 2005 by Daniel and Andi Ballard, the label is heavily inspired by nostalgic childhood memories growing up in Virginia. Andi, the brand€™s designer, explains, €œit€™s a name inspired by the rowdy all-American lifestyle we grew up in. I want Rebel Yell to be super-fresh and easy to wear. The kind of clothing that doesn€™t overpower you, but still makes you look damn good. I obsess about the fit and design details, and refuse to put out a product that Daniel and I wouldn€™t want to wear." The brand reflects the styles that the creators grew up with: relaxed, fresh and classic. Rebel Yell€™s future is looking very promising, as it continues to attract both men and women everywhere, as well as celebrities like Reese Witherspoon, Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton, and many others. Keep your style at ease with my top three picks: the three quarter sleeve colorblock tuni hoody, the yes, no tee and the skinny pant.

Recession Chic: 10 Mall Store Finds That Look Way More ...

    image

I'll take shopping on Shopbop or Revolve over a trip to the mall any day, but these days, even the abundance of steep discounts and final sales (tempting, but SO unfair) can't always lure my credit card out from my wallet. But, as it turns out, mall stores are often filled with a few gems of their own- you know, those pieces that elicit remarks like "you got that where?!" from friends and strangers alike. Case in point- my worn leather bomber jacket from Zara has been mistaken for a Mike & Chris on more than one occasion! And trust me, walking out of the mall with even just one or two of these new favorite items can feel just as good (if not better!) than ordering a similar piece from a designer boutique, especially if you consider you spent so much less, and when it comes down to it, most people won't even know the difference, as long as the item in question isn't a blatant knockoff (Forever 21, are you listening?). Remember that quality accessories can really pull together any outfit, so when it comes to saving and splurging, spend your money where it counts, i.e. not on that $85 Kain pocket tee that Express makes in better colors anyway for a whopping $24.50. I've searched the web for 10 pieces that look the part, but have almost shockingly low price tags. Click the slideshow to see them all!

Stylediary Spotlight: Jewels Makes Her Basics Shine

    image

Stylediarist Jewels knows that basics don't look so dull when they're paired correctly. Dressing almost solely in subdued solids, she creates interest by layering and mixing fabric weights and textures. With this knowledge, all of her looks appear styled, effortless and chic. This New Yorker's subtlety allows her to incorporate trends without having her outfits scream to every passerby, "Look at me I'm fashionable!" No two outfits look identical, but this girl certainly has a cemented style; one that if it works for you, could be easy to achieve with a lot of what's already in your closet. Stylediary Spotlight: Urban Chic That Transcends Seasons

Stylediarist Renee-Zoe maintains her style in any climate, and for any occasion. A resident of Melbourne, Australia, this 18 year old claims she doesn't really have a definitive look, but tries to make her outfits pulled-together and simple. Utilizing lots of black basics and earthy accent tones, each and every one of her outfits is perfectly urban-chic. Her Stylediary boasts intriguing vintage accessories and a truly innovative use of tights. This girl's wardrobe seems to be ready for everything from a cocktail party to a rock concert. I do have to disagree with her though, She does have a "look" and she wears it well. Check out my SLIDESHOW to view my favorite pics from Renee-Zoe's Stylediary.
