    CollegeCandy Wishlist: Adidas Ballerina Sneaker-Flats

I love flats. I practically wear them every day and to all occasions. I can't even remember what I used to wear before I started slipping on those cute and comfy babies. Wait, yes I do. It was sneakers (love my Chucks), but I had to find something else after I realized that old school Nikes are not acceptable for all occasions. Like job interviews. And now Adidas has taken my two favorite forms of footwear and morphed them into one mega shoe: the Gazelle Ballerina. Not to quote Miley Cyrus or Hannah Montana or whoever she chooses to be today, but you do get the best of both worlds with these shoes. Revel in the cuteness and convenience of a flat and the stylishness and comfort of a sneaker with its rubber outsole for added support. So if, like the Spice Girls, you've got a little Posh and a little Sporty to ya, these shoes are your perfect match. And if you find yourself running from parties when campus security shows up, these are probably right for you too. It's the girls in stilettos who always get caught. Rollasole: Vending Machine Flats To Save Stiletto-Wearing Feet

On NBC Nightly News last week, I caught a story about 27-year-old UK entrepreneur Matt Horan who started a company based off an ingenious idea. Rollasole is an emergency ballet flat sold in vending machine at UK clubs. For about 5 pounds (around 8 bucks), you can relieve your dancing or partying feet with these comfy and cute ballet flats that roll open and come complete with a little carry pouch (for you to tote around and use later!). Within 6 months of starting his business, Horan has sold thousands of Rollasoles and has expanded to the wedding/special occasions market. The next expansion? Over the pond, of course. Rollasole is coming soon to the U.S. to bring relief to our stiletto-wearing partying feet. Read more on Rollasole at the London Evening Standard and Perez Hilton, and even follow them on Twitter -- @Rollasole. Check out more fun fashion finds at Coquette!

Hive 5: Ballet Flats Take Center Stage

Flats have been gracing the feet of many a stylish and sensible woman for decades (See Audrey). Heels no longer signify 'going out' or 'at the office' - flats can go anywhere, let you do anything, and can make you look as good as any heel can. (Okay, it may not have the same effect as a stiletto heel does, but did I mention you can actually walk in comfort for more than a block?) My personal favorite is the ballet flat, with a comfortable rounded toe, an elastic strap for support, a ribbon or bow here or there, and maybe some elastic ruching in the back for the perfect fit and contour. Everyone from Marc Jacobs to La Garçonne and Miu Miu have been drawing inspiration from the dance-inspired footwear. To add some drama ito your life click on the SLIDESHOW to see a few of my favorite flats.
