Hot In The Hive: Nordic Ware Castle Bundt Pan

It's a sad, sad day when you realize there's a chance you might be too old to go trick-or-treating. This realization either comes in the form of a too-high number of slammed doors during the previous year's Halloween activities, or a shift from fear of cavities to fear of calories. Eeek! Luckily there are still plenty of ways to make the most of your annual sugar rush and they don't involve dipping into the kids' stash (bad!) or going to town on the office candy bowl. This Nordic Ware Castle Bundt Pan turns an ordinary box of Halloween Funfetti cake mix into a haunted mansion (with the help of some sprinkles, gumdrops, and fondant), and is way more exciting than an endless influx of bite-sized Snickers bars. We know- it's not free like trick or treat candy is, and it's not exactly handed to you, but try to accept it as a part of growing up. Still feeling bitter? Be that person and hand out toothbrushes and sugar-free candy. Muahaha...

    Price: $36

Mama always said the best way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Knowing how to prepare a good meal can be pretty sexy -- not to mention fun, and more importantly, tasty! When something like food is always on the brain, there's nothing better than someone who can cure your fix with the steady use of a few tools. Cooking isn't always simple: there's a lot of prep and a lot of heart to it. Dressing it all up can make it a bit easier. Style you can wear can be just as important as style you can use, as both can be as expressive as Grandma's fresh-baked apple pie. Even the best recipe for success will suffer if you don't have the stuff to keep your kitchen stocked and happy. If you've got a knack for crafting with stoves, pots and knives, or like me, like to pretend you do, check out these cute picks for showing people just how cute you can be in your kitchen!

Try as you might to pinch pennies, just being out of the house makes it difficult to save with all the temptations of office-adjacent restaurants and bakeries, coffee dates, to-go menus, and nightclub cover charges. After all, even the biggest bargain Happy Hours add up after a month of sipping! This week, it's simply in the stars to take the time to enjoy the comforts of home with a quiet (or not-so-quiet!) night in, whether relishing your rare alone time, or organizing a fun alternative to bar-hopping with a get-together with friends at your place! Geminis will get to spread the love with their roommates and put their baking skills to the test with a cute cake mold, Virgos will patch things up with a long-lost friend over an at-home spa date, and Pisces girls will finally get to leave the stress behind at work and curl up with a good book! Check out the slideshow for more ideas on how your sign can have fun while staying in this week!

Hive 5: Taste the Rainbow With Enamel Kitchenware!

It's official - I'm addicted to enamelware! Although it may have started as a jewelry trend (keyword: trend), I think that enamel kitchenware has some serious staying power. How come? Well, not only are these kitchen necessities super cute and full of color, but they are vintage-inspired as well. From Le Creuset, to Bialetti, to Cuisinart and KitchenAid, almost all major kichenware companies are adding some color to their products. And the result: technicolor cookware that is pretty enough to use as serveware! Now I'm no Susie Homemaker, but this polychrome cookware makes me want to channel my domestic side asap - they are a true visual treat! Another great thing about colorful kitchenware is that they bring a major dose of spunk to tired or outdated kitchens, and without the heavy cost of a remodel. So whether you decide to mix and match different enamel tone, or just go monochrome, introduce some color into your kitchen today! Also be sure to check out my SLIDESHOW for my five favorite enamel kitchenware finds, and search the Hive for even more options!
