Gotta Getaway To Beijing At The Raffles Beijing Hotel

When I think of China, I think of silk brocade, dragon motifs, a rich history and delicious food. So naturally, when I heard of the Raffles Beijing Hotel, I was more than intrigued. Much like the country itself, the hotel has a long history in Beijing. It was first opened in 1917 at the Grand Hotel de Pekin and then taken over by the Raffles chain and fully renovated in 2006. The Beaux Arts-style building has 147 rooms and 24 suites with everything you could ask for. Just minutes away from the famed Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, the hotel's central location is well worth the price. With a blend of Asian and French influences, the hotel is an oasis after a long day of sightseeing. Find some time to dine at Jaan their signature restaurant serving French cuisine or relax at the Writers' Bar with a wide selection of drinks and cocktails.
