This stunning handmade piece is, quite literally a work of art. Swedish ceramicist Karin Eriksson has press-moulded porcelain, earthenware and stoneware clay to create a variety of different 'leaves'. Some are glazed, some are smooth some are rough, some are coloured in muted lilacs and forest greens, some are left natural colours of ivory white, charcoal and terracotta. All have a leaf design pressed into them. The whole mobile hangs from a thin metal disc and the leaves are strung on fishing wire and interspersed with tiny beads. You can hang this mobile indoors or outside (though it doesn't like too windy a spot) in the garden or on a porch. In a breeze, the ceramic pieces tinkle gently, making this the most sophisticated of wind chimes.

Our latest Student Of The Month is the one and only, Julia Rothman. We have long admired Julia's work and we almost lost it when we found out she would be doing the artwork for our website.. These are laser etched ceramic milk bottles. Each bottle was etched with one building design and then hand-inked with red or gray ink. Due to their handmade nature, there may be slight variations between bottles. This is a limited edition of only 40 (21 red and 19 gray) and each is signed and numbered in permanent marker on the bottom of the bottle. Please handle with care and clean only by wiping image gently with a damp cloth. Bottles are approx. 7" inches high. Opening at top is approx. 1.5". Each comes with a cork.
