Wonderful early 20th Century synthetic plastic flower brooch. Two flowers painted a shiny and silvery lavender color with brass button centers on a metal clip backing. Backing allows you to move the flowers a bit to create different arrangements. Nice addition or start to an 20th Century Art Plastic Jewelry collection. Has an earlier roll-over safety clasp. Estimate circa 1920's. Possibly 1930's. Brooch is unsigned. Great price for early plastic. SIZE: From flower tip to end of flower tip across, approx. 2-1/8 inches. Height of each flower is approx. 1-1/8 inches. Flowers have an approx. 1/4 inch depth, not including metal bar pin backing which would add another 3/16 of an inch in depth. CONDITION: Very good. No rust or other issues with metal parts. No missing petals. No chips or cracks on the flowers. All parts are original to the brooch. The pictures show the tiniest details, suchs as very minor wear to paint. Shine of the petals is very nice in person and detracts from any tiny worn spots, which are harder to notice in person already. Looks better in person than pictures reveal. This ring centers on a beautifully colored, faceted rubellite which is framed by silver set rose-cut diamonds with a gold band. The diamonds on the ring's shoulders appear to be in the form of a column's capitals, yet the ring appears to be more Belle Epoque than Architectural Revival. While it seems flat on the finger, in fact the gallery is raised, allowing for light to pass through the stones further enhancing the sparkle and color.

This Antique Estate Georgian topaz brooch can be worn alone or clipped onto a gold mesh bracelet for a more modern look. The brooch is composed of an oval cut topaz in a foil backed setting surrounded by scrolled gold with foliate detail. On the back of the brooch there is glass locket to hold a lock of hair of a loved one, which is typical of the Georgian period and a C clasp. Using high carat yellow gold, these artisans incorporated cannetille work and natural pearls to create a pair of superb earrings reminiscent of sails of a Spanish galleon spun of gold threads. Craftsmanship of the finest order created diaphanous drapes of gold “fabric” studded with luminescent pearls attached to the surface with monofilament (originally with wires). Gossamer sails sprawl along the gold boom as the lines of gold chain attach to simple ear fittings. The orb crow’s nest of gold and pearls dangles from the top against a triangular sheet of wind as the boom suspends a pair of pearl and gold tassels with pearl fringe.
