Gifts for Grads: Frame the Memories!

    image

Looking for a perfect gift for the graduate in your life? Nothing could be more personal than framing a favorite photo as a gift, especially for high school grads headed off to college. I'm sure you agree - taking the time to print and frame a digital picture can take some serious effort, and is something that often is put at the bottom of the to-do list. That's why I love this photo collage frame from personalizationmall.com: you can pick any one-line message and it is lasered into a matboard. Just print a few photos for the back! Tip: it looks even cuter when you let one photo cut across two letters. For something a little simpler for the green-loving grad, what about the Mariposa recycled aluminum frame? It's glamorous and eco-friendly! Check out my slide show for other great photo frame gifts for grads!

Lightweight Scarves to Top Off Your Cold Weather Style

So the weather outside isn't quite frightful yet, and retailers are already dangling gorgeous scarves in front of our faces. As far as I'm concerned, you have two options: wear that big mushy scarf and sweat off your make-up before you get to work, or polish off your outfit with a lightweight scarf instead! Whether it's a solid in a gorgeous color, like Nordstrom's Cashmere Tissue-Weight Scarf or something with a fab pattern like this great Calero Wrap from Anthropologie, you're sure to find a great lightweight scarf that warms you up - just enough. And don't worry, it's-already-cold climate-dwellers, we've got some great cozy options coming soon! Check out our SLIDESHOW for plenty of scarf-tastic options!

    15 Not-So-Mellow Yellow Spring Picks

They call me mellow yellow... Ok. Now I don't know who "they" are, but I do know they've got it all wrong, because if you haven't noticed, yellow is taking spring by storm. The non-rainy kind, of course. It's not just for clothes either! While yellow is perfect for day dresses, swimsuits, slides, and even eyelids, it's the burst of sunlight that it adds to home decor that has us reaching for the sun-kissed shade. From creamy pastels to bold goldenrods, the color is much more versatile than it appears at first glance. A yellow pitcher adds unexpected softness to a kitchen, while yellow jewelry gives an otherwise neutral outfit a playful twist. My slideshow is full of ways to incorporate yellow into your kitchen, your closet, and anywhere else that needs a little warmth. Check it out, and tell me your favorite in Comments!
