How Do You Prefer Brad: White-Hot Or Dark & Handsome?

    image
Alex Gambardella on Aug 15, 2009 9:23 AM PDT
This past week has been a big one for Brad Pitt (then again, when isn't it a good week to be Brad Pitt?) with the recent Hollywood premiere of his latest film, Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds. Decked out in head-to-toe black, save for a pair of gold-rimmed aviators and some goatee scruff, he looked sharp as always and accessorized flawlessly with leather-clad Angelina Jolie on his arm for nearly the entire night. Despite all the excitement, he wasn't too busy to lend support to pals Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams at the NYC premiere of The Time Traveler's Wife just two days later -- only this time dressed in head-to-toe white... with a similar pair of aviators and the same scruffy facial hair. Uh, Brad? What's with the monochromatic menswear? While we understand the desire to match and coordinate, that doesn't mean you need to wear all the same color... especially when these suit shades can hardly even be considered "colors!" I guess there's no use complaining -- the man still looks good, no matter how much variation he seems to lack. Personally, I enjoy him most in his wide-open bathrobe in Fight Club, but since that's not an option, vote below on which one-color ensemble you like best: Brad in white or Brad in black? Angelina Jolie Loves Gerard Darel Maxi Dresses!

    image
Ida Hsiang on Jul 15, 2009 12:18 PM PDT
Effortlessly fashionable Angelina Jolie has been seen numerous times toting her kids and traveling all around in a luxurious Gerard Darel maxi dress. Darel's designs are feminine and classic with just a twist of vintage quirk thrown in. Angelina's favorite seems to be the cocoa brown, strapless "Angel" maxi featured here, but has also been seen in black versions and ones with straps. Even little Zahara gets her fashion wings early in her own lavender Gerard Darel top! With his use of luxurious fabrics and fluid silhouettes that show just enough of your decolletage and shoulders, Darel's dresses are the perfect summer piece for sophisticated and comfortable elegance. Want one just like Angie's? The dresses retail for $548 and are available at select Bloomingdale's stores!

    Obsessed over Nude Flats!

    image

Don't ask me what came over me. I felt the rush late Monday night while remembering a photo of Angelina Jolie and the Lanvin nude ballet flats she had on, like a year ago. I loved the idea of shoes that looked barely there and thoughts of spring are upon me. I'm not ready to shell out 500-600 bucks for those coveted Lanvins, so a quick search online would have to do. It's amazing how hard it is to find a shoe with just the right shade of nude and with a simple design. I finally found these Madison Harding Ballet Flats that are now on sale for only $52.90 at Nordstrom (was $89.95, only size 8 left in Nude Patent). So, thankfully now these little beauties are purchased and now I can find something else to be obsessed over.
