A totally unique fossil! Anyone familiar with the great artist's work will immediately understand how this stone got its name - it is Nature imitating the drawings of Pablo Picasso! This fossil (60mm x 41.5mm) is imported from Morocco. The spiral shells are ammonites, an ancient relative of today's nautilus and squids. The bullet-shaped fossils are most likely an ammonite viewed from the side.
I stitched a bezel of tiny pink, grey and black beads around the fossil and handmade five fine silver (99.9% silver) 'teeth' to hang from it.
The Picasso Ammonite is attached to a choker of plaited wood tubes (dark wood and natural) and tiny pink beads.
The clasp is a 22mm round pink flamingo with gold palm tree design, set in sterling silver. Very 'vintage-kitsch' looking!
An eyecatching, organic and unique piece of handmade jewelry.
