Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone) endeared herself to fashionistas everywhere when she pleaded, "You don't understand; this is an Alaia!" while held at gunpoint and forced to ruin her frock from, like, a totally important designer (so many quotables from this movie -- be warned: I'm going to go there many times over). Clueless still holds up today as not just a modern classic, but also as a time capsule for mid-90's fashion: plaid skirts, embellished jackets and cardigans, high-heeled Mary Janes, knee-highs/thigh-highs, and demure headbands.
