Camilla Belle Wears Alexander McQueen Spring 2010

At the debut of the futuristic dystopian flick "2012," Camilla Belle bravely donned an Alexander McQueen creation from his Spring 2010 collection, which premiered in Paris a few weeks ago. The entire Alexander McQueen collection featured a futuristic look and reptilian themed prints. Belle's dress was a short dress with a puff-ball skirt and gem trim on the sleeves. She wisely accessorized this attention-grabber of a dress with a minimal theme in mind. A simple bangle, plain earrings, and nude platform heels ensured that accessories would not compete with the dress. It would be easy to overdo it with chains or diamonds or "look-at-me" shoes. Also in attendance at the movie premiere was American Idol season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert. The soundtrack to the movie features his song "Time for Miracles." Critics describe the song as "perfect" for the movie in which the world faces a huge cataclysmic event and those left have to fight for survival. Written by Roland Emmerich and Harald Kloser, the movie's cast includes John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Thandie Newton. Woody Harrelson and Danny Glover are also included in the cast of thousands. The film premiered November 4 in Los Angeles. This week it is scheduled for release in Belgium, France, and the UK. These Platform Pumps Make It Chic To Be Square!

Pointed, rounded, almond, peep toe... you may think you've got your bases covered when it comes to shoe shopping, but there's a new style on the block that's ready to take over. Square toe platform pumps are popping up everywhere lately -- designer and bargain brands alike -- and are bringing that ballerina-inspired pointe shoe look to the style scene. The flattened toe provides a vintage feel, especially if you go Mad Men style with a pencil skirt, while the platform gives the look a modern edge. Be careful when indulging in this trend, though -- if you're looking to elongate your legs, you might not want to throw out all your pointed pumps and replace them with their snubbed-toe counterpart! However, all you leggy girls can lust after the trend without fear! Of course, your credit card may have reason to fret if you go overboard... check the slideshow to see a selection of hot square-toed platforms!

Jean Paul Gaultier Is Next Up For Target!

Jean Paul Gaultier is doing a Target collection, reports The Cut via WWD. The over-the-top designer's collection will be available at more than 250 Target stores across the country and Target.com on March 7 through April 11. Following Alexander McQueen and Anna Sui, Gaultier is the third established designer to do a collection for the mass retailer under the Designer Collaboration series. His chosen muse? The American woman, "celebrating the forces of style both past and present in American pop culture," a Target spokesperson says. I remember being thrilled by Gaultier's risque designs as a young girl (Madonna's cone-bra corset comes to mind). My mother's dislike of his iconic female/male perfume bottles only made me want them more; both still sit prominently displayed in my glass bathroom cabinet. This Frenchman holds a special place in my heart so I look forward to what he'll bring to Target audiences.

Stylishly Spooky Halloween Jewelry You'll Want To Wear All ...

Who says you need a campy store-bought costume to be festive this Halloween? I'm all for dressing up, but there's more to getting into the haunted holiday spirit than black lipstick and fishnets. If you're a jewelry gal (but then again, what girl isn't?), there are tons of trendy Halloween-themed charms, pendants, bangles, and even cocktail rings that are bound to appeal to your inner trick-or-treater. This Swarovski Ghost Charm is an adorably festive addition to any charm bracelet or keychain, and if you aren't a huge arachnophobe like I am, this spider ring from Betsey Johnson is appropriately gothic-chic. But just because they're perfect for the spooky season doesn't mean they're too kitschy to wear after the 31st -- this skull-embellished wrap bracelet by Alexander McQueen will still be stylish even after all your candy has been devoured! Browse through the slideshow for some of my favorite festive jewelry!

Fashionistas And Design Enthusiasts Love Ireland's g Hotel

To call Philip Treacy just a milliner is a severe understatement. While he is best known for his award winning hat designs and for his collaborations with Alexander McQueen and Chanel, did you know he's also the Design Director for the g Hotel in Galway, Ireland? It's no surprise that his whimsical hat designs have translated into hotel design as well. From the bubblegum Pink Lounge to seashell decorated rooms, Philip explains his designs as "hats people love to wear. With the g, I have created a place where people will love to be." The g has 101 rooms including the Evangelista Suite (where you can not "wake up for less than $10,000 a day"). All rooms have Treacy-designed Frette linens and even butler service! Take a look at my slideshow to see what living the avant garde life would be like at the g Hotel.
