Amsterdam's citizenM Is An Airport Hotel Unlike Any Other!

Airport hotels are usually reserved for business travelers, people with long layovers, and for those stuck at the airport for other reasons. I once stayed at a totally unmemorable hotel by the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport because bad weather conditions grounded my flight. While it was cheap, I can't say I would ever stay at a airport hotel again- until now. The citizenM Hotel at the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport has totally changed my mind with its super efficient and cutting-edge design. Start by checking in via high-tech monitors in the lobby and then the prefab rooms are set to your specifications: mood lighting, music, temperature, and of course, a wake-up call! The 230 rooms may only be 150 square feet large, but the LCD televisions with free movie channels, a king-sized bed, free wifi, a high pressure rain shower and luxurious Frette linens make you feel right at home. There's even a 24-hour cafe which is good for those munchies you might get in the middle of the night. Take a peek at my slideshow to see what it's like to live by the airport!

Remember the time when you would land at an airport and your family would be waiting for you right outside of your gate as you exited the plane? Remember when you didn't have to take off your shoes when going through security? And remember when you didn't have to worry about whether or not it would be okay to bring your favorite lotion on the plane? Well, the Zen Class Nirvana Organizer can't change any of that, but it sure can make traveling a lot easier (hence the "zen"). With multiple mesh pockets, zippered storage compartments and even a cup holder, the handy dandy accessory can hold everything from your iPod to a newspaper. With the convenience of hanging it in front of you while sitting in your upright positioned seat, the Zen Class puts everything within reach while traveling. It can definitely keep you organized, and in turn, put you at peace while in the air.

    Price: $39.99

Hive 5: Express Your Style With A Fancy Laptop Sleeve!

    image

Last time I was at the airport security line, I saw lots of laptops go through the conveyer belt, but all of them came out of the same utilitarian black case. I then got to thinking- why spend thousands of dollars on a laptop when you're just going to hide it in a nondescript bag? Fear no more, laptop sleeves are here to the rescue! Laptop sleeves are a great alternative to laptop bags because you don't have to carry both a handbag and a laptop bag at the same time. They also come in very slim profiles that won't add too much bulk to your already full tote bag. I've compiled 5 sleeves that are anything but boring. Now you just have to figure out which one to buy! Check out my SLIDESHOW to see some of my favorite laptop sleeves from the Hive.

If there's one thing I hate about flying (other than the food), it has to be planning what to wear on the plane. With cramped legroom and freezing temperatures, it's easy to fall back on sweats or pajamas, but you never know who you'll meet sitting next to you or in the waiting lounge. So next time you jet off to an exciting destination, be paparazzi-ready by reading People StyleWatch and see how your favorite celebrities dress for their flights. Check out Beyonce's style with heeled sandals and a 3.1 Phillip Lim t-shirt or Victoria Beckham's look with her signature oversized shades and roomy Hermes Birkin bag as inspiration. Hive 5: Wheel a Chic Trunk Through The Airport, Just Like the ...

While I can't imagine dragging a trunk through a crowded airport terminal, there is something romantic about the notion of pulling your wardrobe out of a trunk while traveling the world. One of the biggest draws to peruse Louis Vuitton for me is the opportunity to ogle their display of vintage trunks. In an effort to regain their potential practicality I'll give you three proposals: your trunk could be a coffee table, it could be storage for your out of season clothing, or as you'll soon discover it could be your vanity. For a trunk to hold all of your beauty needs look to the Conran makeup trunk, for an option on wheels check out Bolsa Luggage, and for a small carrying case, Prada has got you covered. To find all this and much more check out my SLIDESHOW. Bon Voyage!
