Grey Is Denim's Latest Color To Crave

Last year's colored denim craze didn't exactly have me jumping for joy- I find electric blue skinny jeans absolutely terrifying. J.Crew has a knack for making denim look positively adorable in all sorts of pastel shades, but I'm convinced the appeal is all in the masterful styling and not the denim itself. So basically, while I want to like colored denim, I just can't. Besides, I prefer to think of denim as a canvas for the rest of my outfit- the more minimal, the better. The occasional distressing, fine. Studs and rhinestones, no thanks. So when I came across a crop of dusty grey denim at Madewell, I couldn't help but think I was on to something. Sure, they weren't your typical jeans, but they weren't your basic blue jeans either. They were noteworthy, but neutral all at once- in a word, they were perfect. Our Favorite Chunky Heels For Spring

Forget diamonds, shoes are definitely a girl's best friend. But sometimes shoes can suddenly become a frenemy, especially those darned stilettos. My feet have had enough of those spindly heels getting caught in sidewalk cracks or making my feet hurt after a few hours of wearing them. So I've dug up some of my favorite shoes from last fall, the chunky heel. If the stiletto is the popular girl, then the chunky heel is the indie princess. This shoe definitely has that '70s vibe but none of the feathered hair! While you may only think of heavy pumps when it comes to big heels, there are a ton of options for spring and summer. Take a look at the chunky platform banded sandals from Banana Republic or the cutest peep-toe shoes from Victoria's Secret. These shoes can make your outfit look bottom heavy so it's best to wear them with your fluttery spring dresses and skirts. Take a look at the slideshow for some of my favorite chunky heeled shoes!

Originally made popular by Coco Chanel, the little black dress is a must-have in any woman's wardrobe. The concept of the LBD is to provide a woman with a versatile piece that can be worn casually in the day or can be dressed up in the evening--it's a piece for any occasion, so why would the holidays be any different? Whether you're staying in for a nice family dinner, going to a cocktail party, or seeing where the holiday hoopla takes you, you're sure to be ultra-chic and stylish in a little black dress! Beanies For The Boys

I shave my head every two weeks, so with the winter season coming into full swing, you know I am always looking for something to keep my head of stubble warm. Like a baby, I have my favorite security beanie. Even though it is on its last leg, I refuse to get rid of the reversible (it's black on one side and argyle on the other) head warmer. But alas, I think it may be time for me (and you) to invest in a nice beanie. Sure, a solid colored one is safe, but why not go for something a little bit more adventurous? A chunky knit beanie lets off a "just like grandma used to make" vibe, while a head-hugging knit cap with an oversized logo is street-chic and whimsical. No matter you decide, pick one that is not only versatile, but matches your personality. P.S. €“ Check out the Humping Moose Peruvian Beanie from Urban Outfitters €“ that's for all you shameless freaky people out there.
