ikat is an ancient weaving technique from india (and other locales) that involves tie-dyeing. it seems to be popping up all over in home textiles lately! when updated with the use of chic, of-the-moment colorways, it looks really modern, sophisticated and unique, and would add a touch of personality to otherwise staid, minimalist modern decor.
