Description: It’s getting to be that time of the year when we settle in for those cozy nights around the fire with a good book and of course a great pillow. “Little Birdie Parade Pillow” by Blue Thimble

Description: i love the big fat zig zag ribbon that outlines the blanket, and if you look closely, you can see the tiny birds and flowers that capture the sweetness of a baby. the designs are very whimsical and the blanket is backed with a lime chenille for comfort.

Description: I had a chance to chat with Bill Finks this weekend at the American Crafts Festival. Bill and Marcia have been designing dolls and assemblage creations for over 18 years. They are known by their brand - Primitive Twig. I really love their newest work, a line of found object dolls. This is where they get really creative integrating salvaged metal, old tins, antique doll parts and vintage findings.

Description: I had a chance to meet Donna Brady this morning at BKLYN DESIGNS 2007. Donna is Brooklyn-based designer who sells hand-crafted lighting and interior décor objects. Her businesses, RE-SURFACE, her business has a web site where you can find her latest designs. I really like the unique look she brings to the lighting as she tries to capture the city’s urban feel and transform them into beautiful and unique interior designs. Donna designs all of the lighting fixtures and all products are 100% handmade in Brooklyn, NY.

Description: South Norwalk, CT. Saga offers visitors a taste of Southwestern, Mexican, and other Latin and South American folk art and crafts. The owners, Richard and Karen, are friendly and helpful. They travel several times a year to the Southwest in search of unique gifts to bring back to their store. We found art that included work from the Village of Mata Ortiz, objects related to the Mexican Day of the Dead, Zuni stone fetishes, and one-of-a-kind furniture pieces.
