Ketju (pronounced "KET-yoo") means "chain" in the Finnish language. Constructed from Japanese glass seed beads in a frosted and iridescent bluish gray, aurora borealis smoke-colored Czech firepolished glass beads, sterling silver beadcaps, sterling silver links, and a sterling silver infinity clasp, this bracelet is durable enough for everyday wear. The beaded segments are created with a needle and thread, one bead at a time, using a handweaving technique called "peyote stitch". Measurements: 8/20.5 cm -- Custom sizing is available upon request at no extra charge. Description:

Built completely by hand from long coils of clay, this vase is a one-of-a-kind. It has been carved with a combination of geometric and curving lines. It measures about 10"x11"x11" Raku is a quick-fire method that is a pyromaniac's dream. Vessels are heated to red-hot and pulled from the kiln while still glowing. They are placed in a barrel full of combustibles which becomes a full flame on contact. The burning fuel literally sucks the oxygen from the glaze, causing it to change colors.

Description:

This hat is a freeform creation done with a combination of techniques.... felting (fulling)and needle felting. She is made from bits and pieces of fulled (felted) merino, alpaca, llama.... needle felted to achieve the 3 dimensional quality (the ridges and ruffles in the back)... I used an absolutely drop-dead gorgeous amber ("Ambrato"), honey, butterscotch, hand dyed merino as the accenting colour to the different shades of greys and browns. The embellishment of the domed vintage wood button (very reminiscent of the contours of the hat itself) along with the handsewn Adventurine beads, makes for a wonderful focal point. Description:

My Coral Reef is part of the "Oceanic" series of paintings I've been working on since August. It's inspired by a trip to the Seattle Aquarium and the hundreds of photos I took while there. I think the colors created by the bleach discharging the dye gives a beautiful and warm representation of a world that is usually seen in cooler tones of blues and greens. Printing is done on an Epson Photo Stylus R1800 using archival inks and 100% cotton rag Epson Velvet Fine Art Paper. An old, antique window pane was taken and made anew. The window pane is primarily black but rustic with white paint appearing through. A mosaic floral design was applied to the window surface. Made of gems and stained glass that was all handcut. Window comes with hooks attached on top - chain not included. Buyer will need to attach decorative chain of their choice in the length that they need to hang in window. Window outer edges measure 13.5" x 16".
