Poor grammar, noise in the morning, talk radio, silk knit, pedestrians who stop right in front of one, cell phones at the dinner table in non-emergencies, sweeping proclamations without the (or any) appropriate references.

Alinea (Chi)--when James Lipton asks me what I'd like to hear in heaven, my reply will be: "Welcome to Alinea; your table is this way." Sebo, sebo, sebo. (SF) Oh my house-made ankimo. Quince (SF)...worth the effort it takes to get a table +. Orzo, in a wee burg called Charlottesville, VA.

 

My drink of choice
varies by locale...martini if the bartender can be trusted; kir royale if wearing a white dress coat; mojito if the heat is blistering... scotch the rest of the time.
