About me
I'm a 24 and I live and work in Washington DC. I'm a Journal Assistant for a scholarly society and I'm hoping to work up to becoming a copyeditor while obtaining my masters in English Lit and/or some sort of Publishing.
Check out my style because...
It's a mixture of humble Pittsburgh girl (my hometown) meets metropolitan professionalism, while still maintaining a sense of vintage glam. Jackie, Marilyn, and Audrey did it best, after all. Lately, I'm just trying to make casual look better. I've got this penchant for dresses, lately, too.
Three things I can't live without
My red krzr cell phone, my pearls, and a skim chai latte.
When I'm not hiving...
I enjoy reading, freelance-reviewing, messing around on the internets, window shopping, playing the piano, singing classically, and playing a few fashionable video games (because come on, who doesn't love buidling and decorating houses on The Sims 2?).
What is your biggest qualm with the current fashion industry?
The criminalization of size. Beauty is everywhere in many different forms, and it's cruel to deny it because it doesn't fit into a size 0.

Ask and answer

What is your signature perfume/cologne?
Burberry Brit Red. It's a special release by them for Christmas, and it smells warm, vanilla-y without being too strong, and feminine. I always get compliments when I wear it.

I can't leave the house without
one of my many cashmere scarves in the winter, and lip balm.

Who is your number one style icon?
Jackie O.

Favorite music genre
I enjoy mellow piano-based music, so I guess that can be somewhat genre-crossing.

How often do you buy beauty products?
Just a little too much. I have more body lotion and lip balm than I will really ever need. I can't stand using the same shampoo and conditioner until the bottle is gone, and that tends to be my phiosophy with most other things, too.
