This beautiful wooden box has been wood burned with a Japanese Foliage Pattern, which I burned on with a fine calligraphy point of a pyrography pen. The box has been sanded to a soft 600-grit smoothness and stained with natural walnut dye and treated with a non-toxic wood oil. Since my beloved Script Box already sold, I hope this one sells soon or else I will lose my resolve and use it for my own jewelry box. The box is 8" wide by 5" deep and 3" high - perfect for jewelry, keys, mail, trinkets or treasures. I have one in my kitchen because I don't have enough drawer space for a junk drawer and, let's face it, we all need a junk drawer. Each box is hand-drawn and may vary slightly.

One beautifully cut bead the color of fresh grass. Perfect faceting to catch the light. And a delightful translucence to keep things mysterious.

Keep track of outdoor shoes or boots, odds and ends that collect at the kitchen door, or recycled papers in this reclaimed wood, hold-anything storage bin. Simply jot down the content's name on the tapered chalkboard side panel. Or allow the poet in you to speak: "A mess contained is tranquility gained," maybe. Chalk included.
