Balancing tradition with a contemporary approach is crucial to me. My choice of material and forms are fairly traditional, so that I remain part of clay’s long heritage. The way I touch clay references 400-year-old Japanese teaware, yet in my drawing I reference cartoons and Western children’s literature. My glazing is also contemporary, using asymmetrical compositions to help create narratives. I regard color as a physical manifestation of emotion and thought. A sprinkle of pink glaze dots may indicate elation, or one green dot may be shorthand for a traffic signal giving the signal to move forward.

This little wool felted bird would love to fly home to you! She has been needlefelted from soft merino wool and has a dark brown removable nest. She measures approx. 3 inches long from her head to her tail. Since each of my birds are handmade with care, the one you receive may be just slightly different from the one shown. Reccomended for children over the age of 5!

These sweet little mugs are a great size when you don't want a lot of coffee. Thrown on a potter's wheel and hand painted with polka dots, they are a nice way to start your morning with a friend. This price/listing is for 2 mugs. As with all of my pottery, these may be ordered in any quantity. All of my pottery is made with certified non-toxic glazes. No lead glazes are ever used. May be used in the microwave, dishwasher, and oven with care.
