About me
i am a self taught artist , a classy lady who swears like a sailor, and a perpetuator of contradictions.... when i was a kid i wanted to be (in this order) an artist, a trapeze artist and a midwife. big on individualism, integrity, idealism, intrigue and tom-foolery. tongue-in-cheek. gypsies. trains. hats. old trees. gardening. root-structures. orchids. lilies. suitcases. cellos. deer. noir, femmes fatale, pin ups. watermelon. our lady. kalika. shiela na gig. the wee hours. the word wee. oui.
Check out my style because...
hmm, i'm very much an introvert socially and tend to take my risks and get my kicks through fashion and art. i find clothing and accessories to be grand tools for self expression and i adore well-made hand-made, vintage 1930s and 40s, and lux reproductions.
Three things I can't live without
family (includes my cats and boyfriend), freedom of expression (speech, art and fashion), and earl gray tea.
When I'm not hiving...
creating or attempting to sell jewelry, fascinators and paintings. or watching old movies, going for walks, dancing at local shows.
a little-known and entirely uninteresting tidbit:
my childhood heroes were pippi longstocking, ramona quimby and anne shirley.
