Quite likely one of a kind, this terrestrial globe has a frame of black iron which supports a white cased glass ball forming the Earth. Longitudinal iron ribs support the globe, as well as marking the degrees in the planet's circumference.

Continents are cast in brass, and mounted to the iron ribs. Further embellishment is provided by cast brass aquatic creatures, mermaids, and a ship. Affixed to the North Pole is a cast brass star, undoubtedly standing in for the real North Star.

When switched off, the glass globe is white, but the original blue bulb creates blue oceans when lighted.
