Description: ”The Danish Pig” is a series of six decorated ceramic plates depicting the production process for Danish pork. In this work, Anna Olivia Kristiansen highlights food production methods in a stark and simple manner. She does this with six plates that depict the pig’s way from farm to dinner table. The project is not intended as a moral admonition but rather as a sober presentation of the naked facts of modern food production. “If the consumer wants to eat the pig, they should be able to stomach the background story,” says Anna Olivia Kristiansen.
