I once got botox in the name of journalism, but missed being able to scowl at people. I live with my extremely handsome boyfriend...err, fiance… and our amazing dog Lucca who I'm pretty sure is more awesome than all adorable babies combined. Oh yeah, and despite editing The Frisky, I'm a little prudish. Go figure!

I will basically give anything a chance in the fashion department, but then develop decisive views on what looks good -- on me, on other people, on celebrities, whatever.

If you could live anywhere, where would you live?
Italy -- I'm obsessed with two villages in Tuscany. Pienza, where the original Romeo & Juliet movie was filmed, and Lucca, a town near Florence that's surrounded by the most amazing wall. I named my dog after Lucca and would move to Pienza in a heartbeat. The cheeseshops alone are to die for.

 

My drink of choice
Red, red wine, baby! Though I do make room for plenty of bubbly too.

 

What is your signature perfume/cologne?
I'm completely obsessed with Jo Malone's Mandarin and Lime Basil spray. I've worn tons of other scents -- Marc Jacobs, etc. -- but this one is the perfect mix of fruity freshness.

 

Website I can't live without
Besides The Frisky? Definitely DListed -- Michael K is the funniest gossip blogger of them all. He's so acidic towards everyone.

 

Favorite recent books
Franny and Zooey, The Virgin Suicides, Gone with the Wind, New York Magazine, all David Sedaris, all Augusten Burroughs, Jaqueline Susann, trashy historical fiction, Lucky and Domino magazines, books about fabulous people who are rich and cruel or slutty and depraved (ex.: Anna Wintour and Jenna Jameson).
