- About me
- Tropi-Ties has been happily selling beautiful women's swimwear and beach accessories online since 1995.
- Check out my style because...
- We carry all if the latest brands of chic, designer swimwear such as Lenny, Red Carter, Karla Colletto, Melissa Odabash, Tropi-Ties, Letarte and more.
- Three things I can't live without
- 1. Manuel Canovas bag and throw...total luxe! 2. Gauze Tunic...easy, simple, goes over anything. 3. High Strung One Piece Swimsuit by Tropi-Ties...it's one of my very first styles that I designed and I still love it, as do my customers.
- When I'm not hiving...
- Working my butt off.
- What should we look for in Swimwear 2009?
- One word: "Classic." We're done with all the silly novelty stuff and now the look is clean, classic and somewhat traditional. There should be a little more coverage with most styles. However, for those who still want to show some skin, the itty, bitty, string bikini will stay in the line up.

My dream job
What I'm doing now. I love buying and designing swimwear for our stores. There's a constant challenge to come up with something that's unique and different, meets the special needs of the wearer, but still have so little materials to work with. There are lots of swimwear labels out there and some of them are just fantastic, (Red Carter is one of my current faves,) while others just settle to make something common for the market. IMHO, I think that my customers deserve more.Where do you shop the most?
Online, almost exclusively...usually at 4 AM. I LOVE to shop and browse the stores, but I have so little time. When I do, I hit State St. in SB, Robertson in W. LA, and Main St. in SM/Venice. I enjoy picking things up for my dau and surprising her with goodies when she least expects it.I can't leave the house without
My cheapo, prescription sunglasses...less than $12. OK, they're not the most avante garde. But, what they lack in style, they make up for in price and the way I lose sunglasses, I can buy several pairs and always have a spare. Besides, they're so funky looking, they're kinda cute.
