You might be surprised that one of the coolest shows we spotted during New York Fashion Week wasn't found in the tents at Bryant Park. Or even on a catwalk for that matter. No, for this find we headed much farther downtown, to Soho's gallery hanahou, where fashion illustrator Sara Singh and emerging jewelry designer and creator of P.Y.T. Arlene Guerra have a joint exhibit of sculpture and jewelry called "Head Games Dress Candy" that completely stole our girlie girl hearts...

While he's a graphic designer by trade, when Jason Nevikov launched an eponymous t-shirt line late last year, his goal was to emblazon his pieces with images that didn't look "too graphic designerly." The reason? "Understated is underrated," he says. "I guess the pervasiveness of graphic t-shirts made me feel like I wanted to make something that was still a designed printed tee, but could somehow side step the over-the-top nature of the printed shirt...sort of as if the print was more a part of the garment rather than a design applied to it."
