Goya Lopes is an artist and designer with degrees from the Escola de Belas Artes at the Federal University of Bahia, Brazil and the Universitá Internazionale Dell'arte in Florence, Italy. She is currently a professor at the University of Salvador, Brazil where she teaches The Birth of Fashion and Design.
Since 1981, Ms. Lopes has been developing creations for the fashion and decorating industries. In 1986, she created Didara Design through which she introduced her concepts of interior design with an ethnic Afro-Brazilian language and artistic concept.
