Verner Panton made the rocking chair VIPP in cooperation with PP Møbler in 1992. The cooperation was brought about by Hans J. Wegner who recommended Panton to drop by the workshop. He had an idea for a strange piece of furniture consisting exclusively of rings. PP Møbler was the right place, since the idea could be realised through the new technique of precompression, which the workshop had just begun to master.

PP Møbler is a small furniture workshop with a tradition for creating high quality designer furniture. And this tradition has been maintained throughout the years since the establishment of the business in 1953. Today, PP Møbler is the workshop which manufactures the largest amount of models designed by Hans J. Wegner. However, other skilled Danish designers are also represented in the line of production.

PP 225 THE FLAG HALYARD CHAIR HANS J. WEGNER, 1950 In 2002, PP Møbler received the Danish Reader's Digest Classics Award for re-instigating the production of this easy chair. The chair is not merely a unique object in itself, but also remarkable compared to Hans J. Wegner's other designs, which are based predominantly on wood. With The Flag Halyard Chair, Wegner sends his regards to the early modernists such as Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe, and Marcel Breuer, and shows that he also masters designs in chrome steel pipes. Despite this gesture, the chair is still decidedly Wegner. The chair's expanses are made of plaited flag halyard and the longhaired sheepskin softens the industrial sharpness of the steel adding an air of comfort and cosiness .

This chair was launched in 2000 at SEs exhibition Livingspace. According to the designer, this cheerful and provocative family chair, which has significantly smaller dimensions than normal chairs, should be considered a whole in the hedge. King is thus a peek through an untended hedge and a waist hold on the idea of nice and neat design.

The sculptural united with the functional. The innovative two-seater bench was Nanna Ditzel and Fredericia Furnitures first joint project. Ditzel designed the bench in 1989, winning a Japanese design competition almost immediately. The elegant back with its striking geometric decoration is made of 1.5 mm aeroplane plywood an ultra-thin material that is strong, light and flexible. Her inventive choice of material won over 472 other proposals.

The PLY wall element is made of new, ultra thin birch plywood, almost see-through. The thickness of the material is 0,45 mm. This textile-like, thin plywood is attached to a solid wood frame, which again can be fixed to straight surfaces by stickers, velcro, picture hooks or screws. There are two different models of PLY, a curvy one called PLY1 and a gentle wave called PLY2. Both models come in two versions, mirror images of each other, so that the waves continue: PLY1A/PLY1B and PLY2A/PLY2B.
