Tejano Music fashion history. This quilted silver lamé outfit was designed by the late Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla. In the early 90s before she opened her boutique in San Antonio, Tx. I had the privilege of selling her outfits in my boutique. Selena designed these and had someone make them for her. This outfit consist of a silver and black jacket covered with silver metal studs. It has shoulder pads. It has a ribbed standup collar and ball buttons down the front. Bottom and cuffs are also ribbed. The black sleeves alternate between metal studs and small mirrors. Jacket is fully lined. Matching silver mini skirt has front pockets a back zipper and also lined. Outfit is new, retailed for $320. Labeled Selena.

Navy blue wool designer two piece suit. It has a collar with attractive, eye-catching slits and the seven lucite buttons that run down the front have a mirrored center. Jacket has vertical seams on both sides that run down to meet the slits at the bottom. Sleeves taper at the winged cuffs, it is fully lined and has the double EE designer logo throughout. Skirt has a one inch waistband and darts descending from the waist. It has a back kick pleat and hidden zipper. Skirt is lined and comes with an extra button. 80s emerald green two piece silk outfit with a floral print in greens and purple. Top has padded shoulders, an attached piece of fabric drapes over to one side and connects with the fabric covered loop buttons. Sleeves taper at the wrist with a loop button and it closes with a back zipper. Straight cut skirt has an attached cummerbund at the waist with two pieces of attached fabric on front side, one cascades down the front and the other drapes across the front and connects at the side both creating a dramatic effect. 60s vintage polished cotton two piece suit. It has an interesting check print in dark brown and rust with a kaki background that has tiny brown dots and squiggly lines. Jacket or top has a small collar and a front placket with two V cutouts, each has a fabric covered button and there is a piece of fabric underneath. It is darted at the bust and the short sleeves are cuffed. The straight cut skirt has a one inch waistband with a button and side metal zipper.

Stunning black rayon faille two piece suit. The cropped Eisenhower style jacket has a pointed collar and fourteen fabric covered loop buttons down the front. The shoulders are padded, the three quarter length sleeves are cut in one piece with the bodice and the cuff has a tab with a decorative button. The skirt has a flat front and plenty of drama in the backâ¦.it hangs one and half inches longer and fans our with the flaring gores.
