A Word From The Artist I make jewellery to use the body as a natural place to tell a story. Recently my interest in childhood objects and their formative nature has led me to dissect and reinvent them in my work. I approach these objects as the building blocks of my visual vocabulary. Though their exploration I can rediscover my preferences and tendencies as an artist while encouraging the viewer/wearer to engage through their own memories and experiences. I have a sense of flexibility when it comes to material, letting the content of my work dictate wich material to use. I am intrigued by the ability of colour, scale, repetition, image, and the element of craft to create value in something otherwise valueless.

Carola Hiersemann has been the soul of Rosselini for the past nine years. A disciplined artist, Carola has refined her natural gift for mixing textures, shapes, and a wide-ranging color palette into a celebrated collection of jewelry. Native to Germany, Carola draws inspiration both from the pleasures of daily life as well as her experiences traveling the globe. To ensure the smooth integration of her work with European couture, Carola works closely with the fashion institutes of Berlin, Milan and Paris each season. As Carola's reputation has grown she has become one of the few designers authorized by Swarovski® to use their trademark tag on her products. Many of the other beads used in the collection have been designed by Carola and are exclusive to the Rosselini collection.

An exploration of sculptural form is at the core of the jewelry objects Talya Baharal and Gene Gnida create. Their work is hand-formed and constructed of sterling silver, bronze, copper and steel, achieving a formidable visual scale yet very light and wearable. Abstracting bold contemporary form while drawing inspiration from iconic themes is at the heart of the their work. As a married couple the challenges of working together produces an ever-changing and evolving body of work. Their separate backgrounds in sculpture Genes training and extensive work in furniture design and ceramics, and Talyas background in metal and jewelry design has led to this exciting confluence of ideas, materials and techniques.

These Flame Jackets will definitely get you noticed! Each one is made to be roomy, allowing you to wear the bulkiest sweaters underneath. They are perfect for the cold weather! The large collar can be turned downward and 'trained' to stay by dampening with warm/hot water, carefully pinning in place, and letting it air dry. Front button closure makes this garment a snap to get on. What's also great about these garments is that if it isn't snug enough, the button's thread can be cut, and the button can be moved over and re-sewn on for a better fit. (Additional instructions for moving and sewing buttons are included in the shipment.)
