W Design

VITRA W.W. Stool Philippe Starck is best known for his erotic forms and his bizarre, often disingenuous public pronouncements. Starck's modern designs are unmistakable - saucy amoebic minimalism with and irreverent twist -- and revealing. A recurring motif in Starck’s design vocabulary is the elongated horn shape, exemplified by the W.W. Stool (also known as 'standing aid'), designed in 1990 as part of a fantasy office environment for the film director Wim Wenders, and put into production by VITRA in 1992. The technique of hard casting allows the flowing organic form to beautifully capture the material’s fluidity. Sand-blasted lacquered aluminum in blue-green finish.

Bad A** Book Cover Belt Buckle: Green Dot Heads w/White Corner Item # 19.608.0.M It's not a glare on the resin. This section of the book cover has a sliver of white on the corner. These belt buckles were created from using the covers of old books. The artists reclaim these discarded books from libraries or estate sales and give them new life. The graphic is set and then hand-cast in resin. Pock marks or tiny bubbles may occur, but do not detract from the piece whatsoever. Fits either 1.5" or 1.75" belts. *One-of-a-Kind* Artist Bio: Josh Quinn & Niki Cagle Other Work By: Maxine, Dear Dimensions: 3.25" x 2.5" $25.00
