Horrockses blue & white floral cotton 50's sun dress. This darling blue-on-white floral print cotton sundress is a wonderful example of their iconic dresses. The blue print is a very deep, rich color, almost purple. The fitted bodice has narrow straps and is lined with white cotton fabric. It has high bust darts (too high for the shape of our mannequin's bust--see close-up photo), so a push-up bra may be needed for best fit. 70's Liberty print cotton sexy surprise slit skirt sundress by Mandy Pothecary. The words "super-sexy" and "Liberty print" aren't often linked, but in the case of this 1970's sundress, both terms certainly apply! This very lightweight cotton dress has a lovely surplice neckline with cross-stitched smocking and a tiny ruffle. The waist seam is trimmed with a matching bow. Below the waist is where the sexy come in: the skirt is made with a flat front panel, and two fly-away side panels that form very deep slits--to the upper thigh on each side! Diagonal seams run from the top of each side slit to the waist seam, where they meet at the center bow. The skirt panels overlap, so the dress appears a bit more demure, until you cross your legs, or encounter a breeze, then--lots of leg! The overall shape of the dress is fitted through the bust, waist and hips, and then the skirt has an A-line shape to the hem. It is unlined, closing with a vinyl zipper in back. Cream prairie floral 1970's cotton sundress. This sweet little 1970's sundress is made a crisp, lightweight fabric (probably a poly-cotton blend) the exact color of vanilla ice cream--yum! The floral print reminds me of the "prairie dresses" from this era, tiny flowers in light brown and green. The dress has adjustable shoulder ties, and elastic at the top of the bodice and the empire waist; so it will fit a range of sizes.
