Grey pinstripe cotton & hot pink roses embroidery early 1960's blouse

This white Battenburg lace blouse is beautifully made, with the "tapes" of the lace held together by drawn threadwork. I believe that the design and construction of the blouse date it to sometime between the 1930s and 1950s, although it could possibly be a bit older. (It is definitely not modern, however.) The blouse has a relatively straight fit, only slightly shaped to the body, and fastens in back with a row of tiny snaps, each backed with a tiny square of fabric to reinforce them. The blouse has the smallest of cap sleeves, making it essentially sleeveless, and a high, round neckline. It is unlined, and will be quite sheer when worn. Bust: measures 36" flat, to fit up to 34" Waist: up to 31" Length: 18"
