This feminine and flirtatious frock from the 1950’s combines coral and fuchsia in a “starburst” abstract floral, edged with coral taffeta trim at the waist. The dress has a scalloped neckline and cap sleeves. The bodice has a “shelf bust” effect, formed by the rows of taffeta trim encircling the ribcage and ending at the high hip. Below, the skirt is very full, with an attached coral net layer between the floral chiffon and the coral taffeta lining. A fuller crinoline could be worn underneath if desired.
