One more note about editing: Consumer-level packages almost all require a bit of rendering time to process the transitions and compress the animation files into a finished format that will play smoothly (compression). Keep in mind that a DV-NTSC compressed file is great when outputting to S-VHS, but the 45-gigabyte file is probably less than effective for Web distribution. If working for video, render your source clips in your 3D application and your final movie in your editing program at 30fps. If your project was meant for tape, make sure you have been rendering your animations at 640 × 480.
