At an exhibition of his work at the Phoenix Art Museum in 2003, designer Rudi Gernreich was described as "one of the most original, prophetic and controversial American designers of the 1950s, '60s and '70s." This c.1960's silk scarf is a great example of his fabric designs, with its mystical print reminiscent of traditional playing cards or futuristic Masonic symbols. In bold black, red, blue and yellow on a white background, the designs are fantastic! The scarf is a long rectangle, large enough to drape around the body, and can also be tied at the neck or on the head in various ways. Gernreich's name is printed in the bottom corner, and the label reads: "Pure Silk, Hand Rolled, Made in Japan." Size: 57" long by 15" wide.

Triple loops of clear, prong-set rhinestones hang from these 1960's chandelier clip-on earrings. Each loop has a single stone hanging from its center, and the loops themselves hang from a solid section of rhinestones in a pyramid shape. The stones are set in silver metal. This chic 1960's sheath dress is made of lusciously soft silk in a vibrantly colored and very unique feather print. The shape of the dress is simple with clean lines that do not compete for attention with the eye-catching fabric. This gold suede coat from the 1960s has a streamlined, mod design. The Nehru-type collar, horizontal pocket flaps, and decorative topstitching are simple accents complementing its otherwise clean lines. The fit of the coat is quite narrow through the shoulders and arms. Although it comes with a matching suede belt, I think the coat looks better without it. It is lined with gold satin fabric and has two extra buttons attached inside the hem. In very good condition, the bright gold suede of this coat will add a dash of color to your fall wardrobe. This mod 60's handbag has a molded plastic frame with a plastic-beaded raffia "straw" body, both in vibrant turquoise. A darling cocktail mini from the mid 1960's, this peach shantung and organza dress is youthful, feminine and nicely made! The peach shantung fabric of the bodice has curving seams over the bust area and the skirt is short and flares out in an A-line shape to the hem. The sheer organza bell sleeves have daisy-shaped crochet-looking flowers scattered over them. In back, the dress closes with a row of covered buttons above the empire-waist seam and a zipper below it. The dress has a wide, 3-inch hem, that appears to be original, but could be let down if the length is too "mini". Mod 1960s designer go-go boots. These two tone boots are black and brown leather. Two brown alligator print buttons adorn the top. Boots have a chunky simulated wood heel and leather outer soles. Boots simply slip on, there are no zippers. They have been gently worn and do have normal wear, scuffs and scratches to the leather. Labeled "Paris".

Avocado green is spiced up with lots of bright orange embroidery on this 1960's mini shift dress from Mexico. The fabric is crisp, possibly linen, or a linen and cotton blend. The shape of the dress is somewhat boxy, with slight shaping from darts at the bust and waist area. The short sleeves are cut all in one with the front and back panels of the dress. They have cool cutouts, held closed by 5 strips of fabric at the shoulders and down the upper arms. The dress is definitely mini, stopping well above the knee on our mannequin. The label is from a dressmaker or designer in Puerto Vallarta, so the dress may have been purchased originally as a souvenir from a 60's trip to Mexico. Bust: measures 36" flat, to fit best on a size 34" bust or smaller. Waist: measures 36" flat, best for a 30" waist or smaller. Hip: measures 40" flat, to fit 36" or smaller. Length: 33"

Totally mod and easy to wear, this v-neck top from the 1960s is made of a lightweight nylon knit fabric printed with a swirling paisley design over black, hot pink and silvery grey diagonal stripes. The original owner of the top altered it from its more typical, round-necked shape to a sexier, deep v-neckline. The fit is body skimming but not tight, and the nylon fabric has a fair amount of stretch, so the size will vary, depending on how fitted a look youd prefer (see range of measurements). The sleeves are three-quarter length, and the top is in excellent condition. The designer of the Pucci-esque print is Zio Luigi, signed inside the hem. Lightweight cotton calico print vintage cowgirl dress with black lace trim. Prairie skirt is full enough for a crinoline or two, with ruffle tiers front and back, plain sides, fabric belt is included. The blouse has 3/4 sleeves and a dart-fitted waist and is meant to always be tucked in, as its pinked and un-hemmed. The blouse measures 40 inches in the bust, 30 inches in the waist, and 23 inches long. The skirt is 27 inches in the waist, 30 inches long. New-old stock with tags, never worn and in mint condition.
