Circa 1960's darling and boxy handbag in purple vinyl. In excellent condition. Love the design, especially the sides. Interior is plain black. No label. SIZE: H: 5-1/2" not including the hand strap. 8-1/2" to 9" with the hand strap. L: 8-1/8" across bottom L: 8-1/4" across top W: 3-1/2" Hand strap measures 10" and has an approx. 3" to 4" drop from the middle to the top of the bag. CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition. All seams are in excellent condition. None missing or popped. Upon inspection we found only two "flea bites" on the edges of the bag. See pictures. Everything else is in close-to-mint condition. Original owner is a friend and took very good care of this bag and barely used it as she has so many. Circa 1950's or earlier reversible handbag in black and white thermoplastic caviar beads. A rare find and one that is in close-to-mint condition. Handles are made of metal and are hinged at the ends, allowing the handles to move in a 180 degree manner for turning the bag inside out. A stylish conversation piece. SIZE: H: 12"; Measured from bottom to top of opening of bag, 8" L: 9" across top of frame Rectangular base: 10" x 3.25" Expands up to 5" and more. CONDITION: Excellent. Close-to-mint. Only signs of storage or use is a few light rub marks on only one side of the handle. We have inspected the bag and there are no missing beads on either side. No stains, tears or rips. Seams are in great condition. Simply beautiful. In researching the history of reversible handbags, we found U.S. Patents from the late 1800's. Classic 1980's Sharif handbag in an assortment of wonderful leathers and skins, lizard, snake, ostrich and deer skin. The colors are a mix of deep purples, blues and soft blacks, and a touch of a dark turquoise green. Interior is black suede. Can use as a shoulder handbag with the long strap, or tuck the strap in to use as a clutch. These fabulous bags were sold at Neiman Marcus in the 1980s. One of us visited the San Francisco store often for work representing Cartier and Tiffany perfumes. The Sharif counter was on the first floor of the store as was the Cosmetics & Perfume department. A treasured high-end designer handbag then and now. SIZE: 8 inches high; 10 inches in length; and depth can go up to 5 inches or more. Drop of should strap is 24 inches. Measurements are approximate. CONDITION: Excellent. Close-to-mint. Exterior is minty. No signs of wear noted. The leather and skins are all in wonderful condition. All stitching is in great condition. No rips or tears. The interior shows few signs of wear, which is a small lipstick stain on the bottom interior that we may be able to remove with a suede brush.
