As seen in Elle Deco Magazine and 4Homes Magazine This beautiful cut vase (photographed here with the taller double vase) is part of our collection of stunning glassware designed by acclaimed Dutch designers Tord Boontje and Emma Woofenden. Created from recycled bottles the vases are made in Guatemala by a local artisan group who have developed skills in cutting and polishing glassware to create beautiful works of art. The Guatemalan scheme is part of a Design with Conscience campaign that aims to use design to foster humanitarian and environmental causes around the world. The cut vase has a frosted finish and comes in various shades of green, brown or white, depending on the type of bottle used. This is great story and a great product too. We think it's a future design classic.

This gorgeous silk necklace is completely recycled. It is made from a retro light blue, navy blue, red, and yellow striped vintage silk necktie. Inside the necktie, recycled Mardi Gras beads straight from New Orleans are knotted in place. The Necktie Necklace is a meeting of neckwear opposites- the formal, restrained, proper necktie outside and the festive Mardi Gras beads inside. Perfect for a girl with a secret wild side. Because the complete length of a necktie is used to create this necklace, it is one of a kind. The beads and the graceful shape transform this menswear item into a feminine but funky accessory. Looks great dressed up or dressed down. This necklace is 37 inches long total, with 15" of beaded length and two 11" ties. The beads are 3/4" in diameter.

Miawi will use second-hand clothing sourced in Malawi as the basis for their range combining these reclaimed fabrics with traditional Malawian textiles; they also intend to use the manufacture of their clothing as a basis for creating fair-trade co-operatives in the region. Not surprisingly Miawi chose recycling pioneers Junky Styling as their business mentor; after meeting the team and hearing their pitch Junky saw the huge potential to develop an innovative and exciting concept into a successful business and so begins a beautiful relationship.
