I think this dress is just genious and beautiful. I had to look at the large image up-close until I figured out what this was made from. Maybe add a few sparkling crystals/silver sequins and this would kill on the prom dance floor. Made from discarded stockings.

These zipper collars seem to have become my signature trashion thing. Here is my latest. I made it for my dear friend who took this lovely picture of it. This collar has been reconstructed from 12 metal jacket zippers. It took 3 hours to pin these onto the mannequin and 7 to sew them together by hand. I´m not a very fast seamstress... Check out my ZIPPER COLLARS SET for more pics. If you´re lucky you might be able to see this live in New York in a few weeks! My friend who I made this collar for is going to be there in the beginning of April. Photograph: Mikko Rasila Model: Maryam R. / ModelBoom Hair & Makeup: Muru

Brown oblong dots on a white background... pair with anything this fall! This is a one-of-a-kind item and will disappear from the BTC Elements site once purchased. Created from reclaimed tins and cans, sterling silver earwires Made in Brooklyn Anna Johansson, the designer and creator of these earrings loves reclaiming items destined for the trash and recreating them into something that transcends what it once was. Anna uses different cans and tins that have labels and decorations enameled onto the surface. Some are found in thrift stores, taken from the trash, or found in grocery stores.

I needed to find a "new" gala dress in two hours. I hate to wear the same dress twice to a party if there is fashion people present. I was so exited about my new zipper collar that I just had to wear it that night, but my KISS-boxy t-shirt was not looking good. I have done trashion styled evening dresses before, but everyone has seen them. Luckily even they can be re-styled :) My crochet tablecloth dress was exactly the same color as the zipper collar, navy blue. First I hid the shoulder straps inside the dress to make it strapless. The straps did not look very good with the collar. My zipper collar can be worn almost any way around. After the shoulder straps were gone, the collar would be holding my dress top up and that means at least 4 safetypins. Well the result made me happy. The zipper collar gave my victorian styled dress a more modern look. And the collar can be removed so I can wear it with other clothes as well :D
