Translation Japanese

The basic material is paper-mache, but the construction is sheer artistry and environmentally friendly, too. The designer owes much to a native Thai artist fascination with the beauty of Japanese characters as graphic art. He turned his passion into a business by organizing the collection of Japanese-language magazines from some 35,000 Japanese living in Thailand. A trained staff then sorts, cuts, and reassembles the magazines pages to create functional pieces of art. This is more than a pencil cup; it's an organizer worthy of an artist studio. Every piece is uniquely different.

These waste cans mark the ultimate irony: discarded magazines converted into the container you discard them into. Available in a set of 2. Every piece is uniquely different.

These pencils have throe own interesting story. They are made entirely from reclaimed newspapers which are gathered, slit, then wrapped extremely tightly a center graphite core. So tight is the wrapping that the wound recycle paper feels like solid wood. Sharpen these pencils in a standard pencils sharpener. Twelve pencils are packaged in a tube wrapped in recycled newsprint. Suitable for gift giving. Pencils do not have erasers.
